Anatomy department is one of the most important department and a major pillar of the basic Medical / Dental sciences. The subject Anatomy enhances the knowledge, skills and abilities of undergraduate students to correlate and compare the normal anatomical structures with the pathological disease state. Thus, it familiarise the students with the Anatomy of the human body serving as a platform for future clinical practice. Anatomy is considered as the backbone of all preclinical and clinical subjects encompassing General Anatomy, Gross Anatomy, Microscopic Anatomy (Histology), Developmental Anatomy (Embryology) and Neuro-anatomy. All the branches are taught in close integration with other basic and clinical subjects. Teaching modalities such as lectures, large group interactive sessions, small group discussions, practicals, and demonstrations are effectively incorporated.
