Head of Department, Assistant Professor, Medical Education & Research

Dr. M. Abdullah Qazi completed his Masters in Medical Education (MMEd) and PhD in Medical Education from the University of Dundee (UoD), UK. He was a postgraduate tutor for the MMEd course in the UoD, UK, and mentor in the Oxford International Digital Institute, UK. He has also been involved in several projects in the UK related to health professions education including postgraduation medical education course development, quality enhancement, and online teaching and learning.

Skills and Expertise

Clinical, classroom, and online teaching and learning, assessment, medical education research, curriculum development, leadership training, quality assurance, faculty development, mentoring programs, and student empowerment for undergraduate and postgraduate health professions training programs. His research interest lies in gender studies, equality, diversity, and inclusion, specifically the career progression of female health professionals in Pakistan and the barriers and enablers they face, as well as online teaching and learning. Currently, he is working as the Head of Department, Department of Medical Education & Research, Women Medical & Dental College.

Assistant Professor & Curriculum Lead, Department of Medical Education
Women Dental College Abbottabad

Dr. Dur e Saman, BDS, MHPE (KMU), is serving as Assistant Professor and Curriculum Lead in the Department of Medical Education at Women Dental College Abbottabad. She is actively involved in curriculum development, implementation, and review of the BDS program, with a particular focus on ensuring alignment between learning outcomes, teaching strategies, and assessment practices.
Alongside her curriculum leadership responsibilities, Dr. Dur e Saman is engaged in faculty development, medical education research, and academic quality improvement. She conducts workshops and faculty development sessions on curriculum planning, lesson planning, teaching and learning strategies, assessment methods, and educational innovations. She is also actively involved in accreditation and quality assurance activities within the institution.
She has completed her Master’s in Health Professional Education (MHPE) from Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, with a strong academic interest in medical and dental education. Her research interests include medical education, curriculum development, assessment, faculty development, student well-being, and health professional education research.
Through her academic, curriculum, research, and leadership contributions, Dr. Dur e Saman is committed to promoting evidence-informed educational practices and strengthening the quality of undergraduate dental education.

Dr. Raima Bilal, BDS, MHPE (KMU)
Assistant Professor, Curriculum Coordinator & Associate Research
Department of Medical Education, Women Dental College, Abbottabad

Dr. Raima Bilal is actively involved in curriculum development, academic coordination, assessment, faculty development, quality improvement, and educational research. As Curriculum Coordinator, she contributes to the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the undergraduate dental curriculum. As Associate Research, she supports research initiatives and promotes research capacity among faculty and students. Her academic interests include medical education, curriculum design, assessment, faculty development, educational innovation, and research.
