MEDICINE

The principal objective of the department of medicine is to educate students about the expert diagnosis and compassionate management of human illness, building on the biochemical, physiological and behavioral foundation of clinical experience. Students are taught information acquisition through history taking, physical examination, and laboratory evaluation. Information synthesis through achieving differential diagnosis and evaluation plan and medical decision making for continued evaluation and therapy. Students are encouraged and guided in the development of caring physician and patient relationships. The junior and senior years of medical school constitute a continuum of clinical experience. The curriculum is arranged to provide maximum flexibility. The department offers an extremely broad range of advance clinical clerkship in general medicine and subspecialties. Students become integrated into a ward team, apply and extend their clinical skills, medical knowledge and judgment in the care of patients assigned to them under the immediate supervision of House Officer and Medical Officers. In addition to the regular sessions, seminars, morning meetings, and case presentations enhance the student’s participation.

Anatomy department comprises of a team of highly educated, experienced and vibrant faculty. All the faculty members are actively involved in curriculum development, teaching & learning activities of undergraduate BDS students.
