The department of oral and maxillofacial surgery provides general and specialized care and services to the diversity of patient. The oral and maxillofacial is a surgical specialty that includes diagnosis, surgical and related treatments of a wide spectrum of disease injuries defects and aesthetics aspects of jaws face head and neck.
The department of oral and maxillofacial surgery was established in 2010 by Professor Dr Zahur Qayyum and his team in surgical ward. With the time it has evolved to be more the 20 bedded units providing extensive health care service to the patients and teaching and training to under and post graduate training to medical students. The department comprises of minor surgery and ward. In addition the department employs a variety of junior medical, dental, nursing, technical and admin staff to assist in delivering a comprehensive facial service to its patients.
